Ombak
A gamelan instrument for the M-VAVE FM-1, by Lunar Eclipse Forge. 1.2
Mostly Balinese, made for meditative atmospheres: you lead the core melody, the ensemble weaves around it, the gongs keep the cycle, and every note shimmers with ombak, the beating of two instruments tuned slightly apart. Ombak is inspired by gamelan, not a gamelan: it owes everything to the living traditions of Bali and Java and the communities who play them.
